How long is the flight from New York to Greece?
We're planning to head out to Greece this Summer and was trying to convince my GF, but she dreads long flights. How long is the flight from New York to Greece? Are there any direct flights, and also, which is the cheapest airline to get there?

9 1/2 to 10 1/2 hours for direct flights to Athens from jfk. delta airlines and olympic have direct flights from jfk and continental has direct flight from new jersey. delta tends to have the best fares especially if you book early. I usually buy my tickets in april for summer flights for the best price. the longer you wait the more pricey it gets, like your girlfriend, I also hate the long flight to Greece, but its always worth it once i get there...have fun

Zack, Hi again. So, we did this last year, so I know thie first-hand. Yes, definitely, there are direct flights and it takes 10 hours from NYC to Athens and 11 hours on the return. Delta Airlines offers some of the best rates, although I would recommend using a website like SideStep that can help you find the lowest fares. Have a great trip! Thanks, Sam
