Is it possible to get the bus from New York to LA in a day?
I am travelling from Britain to Hawaii in a few weeks time. I currently have a flight to LA and another flight from LA to Hawaii. For reasons that i will not go into, I may have to book a new flight from Britain to New York. If I flew to New York a day early, would it be possible to catch a bus from New York to LA to catch a flight to Hawaii the next day?

No. According to mapquest it will take about 43 hours to get there...non-stop. You'd need at least two days.

No, New York is on the East Coast and LA is on the West Coast....that is a very long distance in between...

No way, New York to LA would take several days by bus, that's almost 3000 miles

i don't think so... the bus ride from NY to LA is definately over 24 hrs. it will take around 2 days

Only if it's an Airbus.Regardless of what those who are citing the computer mapping services say ;it is flat-out impossibe to drive NYC to LA in anything under about 56 hours and realistically speaking 72-80 hours is still a really fast trip So do yourself a favor and catch a flight to LAX

No. And you would have definitely lost your sanity by the time you got there! You could check into Amtrak, but even that will take a couple of days. Go by plane. Jet Blue is fairly inexpensive. It goes from JFK to ONT [outside of LA] and to other areas in Southern California.
