It can depend on when you want to go, try a website like Kayak.com that searches different travel and airline websites. Also check the websites of the airlines that fly to Beijing, they often have fare sales that might not show up on websites like Kayak, Expedia, Orbitz, etc... Normallly flights to Asia from N. America are cheapest after October until May or so, avoid Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year and other holidays when fares are often much higher. Good luck.

I have been stay in Beijing almost a year.
