i need help finding a reasonable flight from new york jfk going to south africa joburg,wih a low layover?
i have looked everywhere if anyone can assist me i would be very thankful,i am planning on traveling at the end of july for 1 week,if you can help me with a certain time that is better please let me know. thanks again in advance

I think your best bet is SAA ... this is about as direct a flight as you can get from JFK to JHB (plane refuels in Dakar but you do not leave the aircraft). I think Delta flies direct from ATL and most other reasonable options involve connecting though europe, which involves longer total time in the air and layover on the ground. the next month or so is the cheapest time of year to travel ... SAA is running a 2 for 1 special (two people travel for the price of 1 ... although 1 person cannot travel for 1/2 price ...) the total fare (taxes and fees included) is about $1,375 good luck!
