flight from New York to Kenya Africa?
My friend and I are interested in visiting Kenya. does anyone know how long is the flight from NYC to Kenya. and what is the best airline to use.

There are no direct flights to Kenya from any US airport. Delta may start a New York - Nairobi direct route in 2009, but this is still tentative. The best options are British Airways from NYC to London to Nairobi or Emirates from NYC to Dubai to Nairobi.

an american friend of ours always flies from the us to heathrow, then onto nairobi, then onto mombasa, it is a lot of flying, but when he arrives in mombasa he is glad to have done it, this year, so far, he has made the trip twice. we live in the uk, so it is a lot less flying.

British Airways offers a flight that would take 16 hours and 30 minutes Route would be JFK to London Heathrow Airport layover and on to Nairobi Kenya. (NBO) The time would depend on how long of a lay over you request in London. I always look for the shortest layover time. Then it takes a bit longer for the return trip due to time zone changes. I have also flown KLM, but the prices are higher...that lays over in Amsterdam Holland

If you want to fly cheap and fly in style, best bet is Swiss Air. 7 hours from JFK to Geneva (lots of chocolate in the plane) 2 hr layover at the airport (worth every minute) and then 7 more hours to Nairobi.

You will not get direct flights to kenya from the US but British Airways has best rates.

All my other friends really love BA (British Airways)
